Things to do

The Booth Museum

The Booth Museum is a quirky attraction near the campsite. It is in Brighton, around 12 miles from The Secret Campsite Lewes.

The Booth Museum of Natural History is a small and eccentric pitstop if you’re in Brighton. It was was founded as a Victorian collectors private museum but has since become a free museum for those interested in birds, butterflies, fossils and bones.

The museum offers some hands on activities and interactive displays. It has a huge collection of stuffed birds and skeletons so if you’re particularly squeamish it might not be your cup of tea. But it does give you the chance to see some extinct specimens which might convince you to take a wander there.

A free museum that will take an hour out of your day, so an interesting stop if you are taking a trip from the campsite into Brighton. It also happens to be opposite a nice little park and Brightons Open Air Theatre. Worth taking a look to see if there is anything showing, if that’s your kind of thing.
